Stewart is an excellent teacher.
Everything he teaches works well when executed the way Stewart does it.

I use a few things Stewart teaches but most of what I do came from experimenting with the techniques i was exposed to in watching demos, taking classes, assisting in classes, discussions with colleagues.
I am very much influenced by:
Liam O’Neil, David Ellsworth, Al Stirt, Christian Burchard, Soren Berger, Johannes Michelson, Jimmy Clewes, Trent Bosch, Lyle Jamieson, and many others.

In the local area I see Don Geiger, Ron Browning, Dixie Biggs, Rudy Lopez, Franck Johansson and others often enough to pick up a few new tricks every year.

I'm like you Al. although I try to absorb what Stuart teaches. I have a try this attitude and try to learn from everyone. living near John Jordan he was a huge inspiration. my friend Joe Looper who studied under a lot of tge people you mentioned was also a huge help. Frank Sudol and Binh Pho were huge inspirations. Rude Asolnik anfmd Betty Scarpine taught me a lot.
I think people are missing out by not learning more about turners from the past. Stephen Hobgin is still inspiring ne as well as Mike Hosaluk.

We are learning from people like you. I wish more of these “legends” would get on the AAW site.

I have taken Jimmy Clewes classes and an Ellsworth class. Hoping to do a couple more like Jackofsky and others.

YouTube is a great source also.
