Stronghold Chucks at Home Depot?

That is strange. If you buy from Oneway what Home Depot is selling as a package it would be $27 more!

I posted the question on the Oneway site.

Actually they have one for $284 that includes the #1, #2 and #3 jaws and that is about $80 cheaper than buying that from Oneway direct.

Of course its only if you need that particular adapter http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs...Id=10053&productId=100375634&N=10000003+90401

I also noticed they had specials on other oneway chucks and oneway gouges and scrapers right now too

This might become a real bargain eventually. Both Home Depot and Lowes tend to stock products that often don't sell in large volumes, like most of their mass market stuff does. After a few months, they realize there's no money in filling shelf space with unsold merchandise, and they decide to put them on clearance sale. Might be one of those things to keep an eye on 🙂

I will have to keep a look out for this at my local home depot if they get any to stock. I bet they want sell too many of them. Who would ever think that the home depot would be selling oneway woodturning equipment.😀

Internet sale only

Check the green circle at the top right on the page. The chucks are available only online.

Home Depot has many things listed on their site that are not available in the stores and often don't list the things that are in the stores. Rather frustrating at times.

When you do a search on the Home Depot website for "Oneway" all the items listed say Online Only.

5/8" plain.....???

There are several strongholds available (at $355) of you search on "Chuck" at the HD site....not just the 5/8" plain....

As a "drill press accessory", maybe someone had the bright idea of using the chuck to hold small items on the drill press table.....???

Something is "sehr unrecht" with this one....maybe they're just tired of being "Rigid"?????

Have a great weekend! Mine will be spent second turning and sanding about 12 bowls and vessels by Monday....

Home Depot on line store has been selling limited Oneway items for a long time (may be at least a year). Their introductory price on turning tools was about half off. They jumped back to normal price the next day.
