Does anyone have any experience with the Steinhart lathes of late. The company went through a period where they had to change some of their suppliers and I don't know if they are currently shipping these new lathes. These are the blue & yellow ones rather than their older traditional green lathes

Are you asking about the VB-36 lathe made by Steinert? I did a web search and couldn't find any reference to "Steinhart" lathes. I don't believe there were any design changes as a result of the change in ownership.

I don’t know of any US or Canadian supplier.
Tool post in England
The VB36 Master Bowlturner Lathe may now be made by the German company Drechselzentrum Erzegebirge steinert®, but it's origins are distinctly British

But there are so many more lathes that Steinert offers that have helped it to build a strong worldwide reputation in its own right

The Maximo is blue and yellow too.
it is a big boy. Spindle height is 13”

Not familiar with that brand but that looks like a solid lathe. My questions on it would be: Is there a distributor in the USA? What is the availability of parts and service in the USA? Will check this thread and see the replies.
