This is a hollow form out of cherry and ebonized maple. The form stands about 8 1/4 inches including the finial and the width is 7 1/2 inches.

This was hollowed to 1/8" wall thickness, except for right at the very bottom which I left with 1/4" for a little extra weight.

I hollowed with the Monster Articulated Hollowing system, which is a pleasure to use, and very well made.

I may go back and redo the finial. The base of the finial was supposed to be 1/4" bigger, but I got a catch. The finish is not cured yet, and I will return to sand it back a little, and put 2 coats of WOP on it as well.

Excellent

Very nice, we just had a demonstration at our club yesterday on hollow form, that demo, and your piece, are very inspiring. I am relatively new to turning, and look forward to trying my hand at this.
