Nice set! What does the Crown relief tool do?
It has a little hook on the end to cut a "stop" groove for interior threads
Does this include the dvd as well? I’ve always wanted to learn thread chasing just never got around to it.
I had to go look and there is no dvd in the box with the tools. I would recommend watching the Wyoming Woodturner and/or Mike Peace on YouTube. Both have several good videos on chasing threads, These tools were purchased new from Hartville Tool in 2016 and have been sitting on a shelf ever since. I was going to practice on corian but never got around to it
I have watched both of them and they make it look like something that I’d try. I actually have a lot of small lower quality boxwood pieces to practice on.
I did find a Robert Sorby thread cutting video online from Hartville Hwd for $12.97 and free shipping. It is not part of the set though. I wondered if I was missing it. The set is complete

Certified wizard Mark StLeger included thread chasing in his demos. He recommended starting out practicing on PVC piping.
I have the chasing tools in 10 and 16 tpi.

I have both the 10tpi and 16tpi versions and I like them. I found Allan Battys video on yew tuba to be all I needed. I did 2 dozen acorns with threads after watching him do boxwood and Ebony.
