Small tool

I sell my bowls in the Charleston, SC Farmer's Market on two Saturday mornings a month. People frequently ask two questions, did you make these? and, How do you make them? A lady asked me those questions last week. To the first I replied - yes and to the second I gave her a brief explanation and showed her the attached picture. She looked at it for a few seconds and then said in a rather load voice, " you have a small tool ". I said, Ma'am, I would appreciate it if you woundn't say that too loudly, I don't want it getting around that I have a small tool. She looked at me and said, " you men never change!". I thought, if only that were true.

I agree with them, because I do simple turning, and they certainly could do that if they spent the money and the time.

Which is what I tell them.

I suppose, Paul you might have told the woman that it only seemed small by comparison to the opening.

Well I have the smallest tools of anyone, and Betty knows it. 🙂 My good freind who sells a lot at the lower end shows frequently gets the question, I could make that. He asks them how much and usually tell him X number of dollars lower to which he replies, make me all you can at that dollar and I'll buy them because I know I can sell them for this much.
