I am turning a shaving kit (razor + brush) for my father for christmas and I just started to consider how I would mount the brush handle for finishing. It has a 20 mm blind hole for mounting the bristles and I plan to turn it between centers initially, but finishing is a bit of an issue. Currently I plan to either mount some wood to my mini cole jaws and turn some wooden spigot jaws or try a jam chuck that fits into the hole - can anyone offer some experience or tips on either of these things?

Also, any tips or cautions for working with Bocote?

Thanks in advance

pin chuck

Not sure how long the blind hole is but you can make a pin chuck to hold without anyother external means. I use this for turning bottle stoppers.
