Seven myths of polyurethane

I think that the only one that I have heard is the one about sanding between coats and I already knew that was not necessary except to fix something like a bug or other flaw. I do thin poly with naphtha, but I knew that the varnish didn't cure any quicker. The reason that I thinned it is to make a wiping finish that can be applied with a rag rather than a brush. Also, I sometimes use shellac under varnish, but not as a sanding sealer ... I use it because it gives the wood a richer and more golden look which I like on white oak.

Since once a myth gets started on the web it never goes away I'm just going to start a bunch of myths and see how long they last. Here's the first. David Ellsworth hollows using a CNC robot.

john,,,my first myth is that Bill Boehme is actually Hal......his recently hospital stay was actually an upgrade of his ram

Hal uses a different ram

Hal uses a different ram

OK, I guess that I don't r3emember that if you're talking about the 1968 movie, 2001: A Space Odyssey.

My computer went on the fritz a week ago and I finally got it fixed today. I suspect some sort of RAM problem where things are randomly changing values and Windows wouldn't boot up, but after twiddling some things in BIOS, it finally let me do a system restore and things started working again. Strange thing is that I can't correlate what I did to a reason why it is now working. Things that for no good reason suddenly start working can, as we all know, quit working for no good reason. All the diagnostic tools said that there was not any problems in either software or hardware ... which, in itself, is a problem since that wasn't a correct diagnosis.

my security software mc__ee, takes up 9/10 of my ram, it wrks but family sends lots of photos in email I have had the email website freeze up, the rest of computer sites can be used.......I was lucky to have help availble or that site would be down tday.......I need to upgrade the ram by probably 2 gb and I would be ok......computer is slos
