Hi all,

in fact that there are a lot more woodturners in the USA and England than in Germany, i am searching to get a relationship for exchange experiences in turning between our german forum and yours. I created especially for you an english range and would be proud if you take a look on www.drechselnundmehr.de I think there is much what we can learn from you and discuss with you. Maybe there will grow some friendships.

We have a gallery too, wich maybe could be worth to take a look of.

Thank you very much,

best regards,

Thomas Wagner, Germany

Hi Kenneth,

to change the board language please check my posting in the English Range "Others" >> "How to change the board language". But first you are right, you must register to change this.

But you can write in the english range too, without to register. Please notice, the german postings will ever stay in german, even if you change the language. But for this i created the english range, that our international guests and members have the possibility to get in exchange of experiences. Please notice too, that some parts of the board are only visible for registered members. Don´t be afraid to register, it is absolutely free!

Thank you very much,

best regards,

Thomas, Germany

You will have to assume that I don't speak or read German. Why don't you just provide a link for the english section?

Figured it out

I used http://babelfish.altavista.com/ to translate the registration page enough to register and sign in. On the page, there is a selection for english, then the last selection is to accept the board rules, you must select "ja" for it to work. it will then send you an activation code that you have to use to activate your account, then everything is as normal.

Register question

I tried to register but after sending the information I get the reply" No such name in our database"

Why not? What did I do wrong? What should I do?

Hi all,

i am very sorry for the circumstances.

I have created a little manual for registration and hope it will be helpful for you:
Thread for registration

Please note, that all posts and topics in our forum will stay in german even if you change the language. But as i mentioned, i have created an english range just for our international guests. If visits and posts grows up, i will extend the english range too.

Well, you will find the english range directly on the front page in the forum.

I hope this will be helpful to you. Please feel free to contact me if there are any further questions or problems.

Thank you very much,

best regards, Thomas

PS: Many thanks to Chris Wright who makes a good "start" for the english gallery with a wonderful work!!!
