I have a friend who is wanting to utilize the router to cut some basic shapes on the lathe. Where can we look to find a set of plans for the jig to attach to the lathe?
I wrote an article for Woodturning Design but would have to look it up to see what issue has the router sled. I need to put that on our club website so it's easier for people to see. I've built several. Most are simply a bar that fits my tool rest banjo with a wooden plate on top for the router to ride on.
I did build one that was a box that sat on the lathe and has all these adjustments that you can lock the box in lots of positions. That was overkill and it just sits there.
I have a design for a Sled on my Web Site this is a 4 part Article in the Hints and Tips Section under Lathe Platform - Ball Cutting Jig - Router Sled.
Covers not only uing a Router but options for using a Dremel or Drill and Copying.
