The robots are likely spiders technically. Software programs from the likes of Google, yahoo, etc.
Not something we can eliminate without shutting it down to members only for even just to view
 
The bots are busily indexing pages for their search engines so that when you do a search, it is able to quickly return results for whatever you are looking to find ... Although I did notice that a couple of the bots looked a lot like C3PO and R2D2. 😀 🙂

They have always been there on the old forum ... it's just that you didn't know about it.
