As mentioned in a previous thread, we woodaholics have a problem. But sometimes, it "turns" out ok. These are red box elder that I tripped over 1 1/2 weeks ago 😀 More coats of Danish oil are being applied as I type, Gretch

Do you have to drink red wine when finishing red box elder? 😀 This is actually one of my favorite ways to finish too, with my favorite adult beverage and a can of oil. I just have to make sure I am drinking out of the right container! 😱

Gretch, you are truly a talented individual great looking bowls and applying oil finish while you type is no small task.

Not to mention getting "oiled". 😀

Gretch,

Well, it looks like we now know the source of the red blush in Boxelder! Which gives the best color - Cabernet?...Pinot?...Shiraz?...

Ken-, I can't answer that as I am not a connoisseur of red wine. I use box wine to go with the box elder. 😉 Gretch

Gretch,

Box wine is my level of connoisseurship as well. I don't think I'd try it as a dye, anyway. "On the side" seems appropriate to me.
