The little African Blackwood box I posted yesterday, its in reality a tiny Urn. A young couple found me thru my web site and one of my galleries. I invited them over to my shop. They lost their son at 38 weeks. I have never worked on a piece with so much love. Someone was watching me from up above, every step came out perfect. I was able to give them the urn on Mother's day... Below It's what she posted today on Instagram. What an honor it is to be chosen for a such an important thing in someone's life. Out of respect I called it a box, but they have been posting all over about me, my work, and their little urn. She doesn't mind me posting about it...

Very well done, both the kindness displayed and the box/urn itself. I did something very similar for the mother of a three year girl. I inset the two pieces of the child's favorite jewelry. It was certainly the most rewarding and appreciated thing have ever done.

Truly an honor that this very special piece was chosen as turning of the week. I showed Rachel, the mother of the boy, and she told me it is the best and only piece of art they own! It is very inspirational to be recognized for your work, not that I need it by gives me extra energy!! Well, I do need it by the end of the day, specially if I'm sanding, LOL. Thank you AAW for the great honor. Aloha
