Hello,

I've seen that some have received their ressource directory and sharpening CD recently. I have received the book, but there was no CD with it 🙁
is it normal ? (I live overseas)
thanks

Was packed in the last page, Pascal. I almost missed mine because I was looking for a jewel case instead of a paper sleeve.

Contact the AAW office directly by e-mail (see the directory on the main page), and they should be able to send you a replacement.

I received my Resource Dir in an envelope, but the envelope was ripped open and no CD. However I don't know if that was a special Board member copy or the regular one. Sounds like it is in the inside back cover.

The DVD is in an envelope, tucked into the directory near the back.
It is not glued in. So if it is missing and the mailing envelope is not ripped open it was probably just forgotten in the stuffing process. Contact the AAW office.

That is good advice Ann.

I might wait and see if I get a regular copy of the Res Dir as a regular member. Even though I'm a board member I pay yearly dues and still want a copy.

Jeff-is that how they treat board members?-tearing the envelop-just to goad you? 😀 Gretch

It could be a conspiracy.....but they are so busy in the office these days that it is doubtful. More likely the postman ran a scan on it and determined that the sharpening DVD was cool. Actually that can't be the case either. We've had the same postman since 1994 and he's a cool old dude so that wouldn't happen either unless he's looking for a new hobby!!!

The envelope looks like it got caught in some machinery.

We have gotten some mail at the office recently that looked like Godzilla had used it for teething. Wonder if our postal service has changed some equipment out. Don't get me wrong - we have the best postal service in the world (we cannot even mail invoices to Mexico due to it taking over 30 days to deliver in Mexico!). It seems like the move to mechanize is a real problem with odd sized envelopes.

Your lucky it's not krispy. A whole bunch of mail's still getting nuked for anthrax, etc. Had an ALJ at USDA ask me for a document on floppy or CD. Her secretary said "just mail it" [rather than FedEx]. Arrived 10 days later - melted. 🙄
