Me either. 🙁

Which is strange because I got my spring journal waaay before the first person posted about it. 🙂

Mine just came Saturday, maybe today will be your lucky day. Only watched part of CD but what I saw was good (long day in the shop, fell asleep before it really started to get interesting).

I thought mine came today, but as I'm the contact person, it was just a bunch of membership and symposium brochures, a couple of letters, a winter Journal, and two spring Journals (why two?).

While I was happy to recieve the winter journal (I read it cover to cover this evening while waiting on #2 son to finish research at the library), I was disappointed that it wasn't the directory and sharpening CD.

Maybe if I do a rain dance or stand on my head?

NGGHHHH. Nahggg.. ngghhhh.. ah phooey. getting too old for that... 🙄

This is as bad as the time I ordered that GI Joe from the cereal box and waited weeks for it to come... Seemed like it took FOREVER!

Hurry UP! 😀

Hasn't reached the far north yet

I haven't got mine up here in Canada yet and if the planets are still in alignment I'm quite sure that Bill G won't have his yet either 😀 😀 😀

Ducking and running in Victoria,

As an FYI, the packet of stuff that Jim received was for his chapter. It is the annual chapter update. Eunice mentioned last week that they were prepping the mailings for that and I'm glad to hear that they got them done. It's a lot more work now that there are ~250 chapters.

Stoppy, as Harvey has already mentioned, I don't have mine yet either, but that sort of goes without saying, right? 😛 I just got home from a week long trip to WI last night. I was staying with the president of their chapter, and he had just gotten the official chapter packet so maybe our stuff is not far behind.

With my adventures on the railroad, I am beginning to suspect that my journal comes via Amtrak (or would that be Conrail?).

As one of the members of a chapter that just joined the AAW, I noticed that Classic City Woodturners was mentioned in one of those issues of the Journal. (I can't remember if it was the spring or winter.) As newsletter editor, I appreciate the work that goes into doing all the mailing! And I really liked that winter issue. I want to make more of those layered bowls. I'm prepping some wood for that Oak endgrain look that Jim McPhail does.

But why were there two spring issues Jeff? I'm not complaining, I'm just wondering.

Bill

Well I was gonna ask if you had yours and use that as a measure of when mine might get here as I'm usually pretty close to the end of the mailing usually.

BTW how was cheese country?

Stoppy

Hi Jim - I don't know why there were 2 issues of one journal and not 2 issues of the other journal. When I became a board member they sent me 2 issues of the last two journals with the chapters packet. Maybe we were short of one of the journals in this mailing.
