went ahead and cut some willow from the tree, my son turned a small piece of it side grain.......it did fuzz out a little like silver maple but we did not notice any smell.......was pretty wood i thought white with redish brown heart wood.............used some kiln dried willow for a project in school it was a shade of olive green must be diferent kind of willow :) :) :)
