I found this wood supplier who has a few outlets around the country but I can't seem to make contact via e-mail. Has anyone done business with them?

I see that they have a subsidiary, A&M Wood Specialty that sells specialty products including turning blanks.

If it is the same company, Sierre Forest Products is a huge company that supplies lumber to the building trades. You will see trainloads of their 2 by material heading for lumber yards and such around the country. It does not surprise me that they don't respond to you. Maybe their other site that Bill put up will give you better luck. I may be wrong but I think their home office is in Washington or Oregon.

Thanks so much for your input, this is fantastic. This all started with a search for a lumber supplier in New Orleans. The guys I went to Tech School 48 years ago, are having a reunion there and I was trying to find a subject for a side trip. As it turned out this Rarewoods website pointed me to an outlet in the town my son has moved to so I asked him to do a drive by and see what it's all about. Maybe I could get him to order me some nice rare wood and I could pick it up the next time I visit him.

Anyway, the outlet appears to have a very low level of activity. Maybe even closed.

Like you say, maybe too large a company to deal with a old guy like me. The e-mail comes back with an error and a page of goop from outlet so it's hard to tell what's going on.
