We have entered the Woodmizer Personal Best contest. I own a portable sawmill and we cut most of the wood needed for the demonstration and 3 hands on classes when Michael Hosaluk came to our club in May.

I think this will help promote woodturning through the contest, especially if I fall in the top 3 and it makes their publication. Here is the link.

My 17 year-old daughter helped run the mill and cut the wood. She has been to 2 AAW Symposiums (Tampa and Atlanta), participated in the youth room, won a lathe, and helped with take-down of the youth lathes in Atlanta. She went to the Hosaluk demo at our club to watch his decorating techniques. She had seen his rotations in Atlanta and wants to decorated turned items.

I did. Hope you make it. I seriously thought about buying some sort of wood mill. Then it dawned on me that the saw was just the tip of the iceburg. YOu needed a way to move the saw. something to move the wood, a place to store the wood, a place to store the saw. Guess I'll just have to let that be a dream.
