Well, it has happened. My wife ordered me out of the sho and into the house to paint. We just built five years ago but it seems there is a law that after five , yu must repaint.
So, down with the gouges and up with the brushes.
I don't mean to bore anyone but I just had to get this out. My inspiration has been put off for a week or so and I feel like a coffee break--oh, I haven't started yet, sorry.
Now if everyone would pitch in, we could get this done in a flash and I would be back to turning. ha ha.
Thanks for listening- Gary

Sounds like you have the same problem I have... having more wood than time. I'm loading up the paint roller and heading your way. 😀

Gary, I feel your pain. I was informed that this year the house was going to be painted. A week later I was driving out the back side of the subdivision and some guy was assembling scaffolding in the front yard. I stopped and asked if he was selling it, Yep. So now I have the outside painting access covered. I was going to start next week but tried to take the tip of my right thumb off is a stupid lathe accident (my fault) so it’s backed up a bit. Maybe we should all take a month off and do the rounds…🙂

A man was hired to paint a church. He gave them a price but once he started painting he realized that he didn't allow enough paint. He thinned it out and painted the church. As he was admiring the church a big rainstorm came up and washed all the thinned paint off.
He heard a big booming voice come out of the clouds, It said "Repaint and thin no more".
sorry couldn't resist.

Painting

A few years ago at the skeet range I complained that all my misses could be contributed to aches and pains from house painting. One of the older members (I am 74) said "Don't you know you can pay people to do that?"

Wayne,
Thats what I do, I am a painting contractor, that's why my wife can comand the use of my services. I guess she does have a hold over me , if you know what I mean. Gary

Gary Many years ago I painted my parent house. It took me 4 days. One day to scrape and 3 to paint. Their neighbors had paid to get theirs painted. It took 3 guys 3 days and they spilled paint on the bushes and roof. They were not happy when they saw what I did. No paint spilled and only one more day in labor. I can't paint anymore. I get bad arthritis pains in my wrist. About the best I can do is paint a room in the house and that's only because I use a roller for all but the trim work.

John,
Every painter has an experience like that. I once painted way to late in the evening and came back the next morning to find all the paint from the gutters has slid off and created a white racing stripe down the top of the front hedges-get out the trimers. Gary
