I jsut got off the phone with Galt House reservations. I did not get the correct number of nights, but they were able to add one more for me. I will probably have to change rooms. THEN, I look at the webpage and discover that I am going to have to fork out $9.00/day for my truck too! Since I had to reserve a room with two beds, maybe I should drive the truck up to the second one, since no one else is going to be using it. 😱

Just drive it into the service elevator, but first make sure that there is enough room for a turn-around somewhere. Let folks know your room number so that they can be there with cameras.

You should then charge them $10 per day for your storage and handling of their room key. $11 per day if it's a magnetized card because you can't get it close to credit cards or cell phones.

Bill, Same thing happened to me. Got it fixed as well, with some effort. Seems like making reservations thru Expedia.com did not work correctly.

I got my reservation thru Orbitz after the blocked rooms were gone for not much more per night. This is my first experience with a service like Orbitz. I'm assuming that if my dates are correct and I have a confirmation then I'll have a room. Anyone else used them?

Well it should be worth the 9 bucks a day to see the Bell-Hop's eyes when you lower your luggage with that lift gate contraption on the back of your pickup..LOL 😱

I tried to make reservations many months ago and all the rooms were filled, they offered me a non-blocked room for about $250 per day. Did a quick search and found a Comfort Inn across the street for $89 per night, at least they told me it was across the street(?). Maybe I'll be sleeping in MY truck?

See if you can tie up with a biker dude to split the cost of parking. He can park his bike in the bed of your pick-up. 😀
