The instructions for balancing the wheels seem thorough but they fall short when it's time to mount the wheel on the grinder (or maybe it's obvious to everyone except me)... and so I have a couple questions:

1. When mounting the completed assembly to the grinder are the balancing screws facing in or out?

2, Does the right hand threaded assembly mount on the right side of the grinder or the left?

Thanks... Tony

Oneway balancing system

Tony,
I can tell you what I did with my new vari.speed 8" Delta. I am sure not all grinders are made the same. I had to mount both wheels with the cap screw heads to the inside for clearance. I used the 2 washers that came with the kit on the inside also. I found that if I used just a plain washer on the outside of the wheels they would wobble so a guy in our club made me 2 washers like came with the kit and I am very happy with the thing.
If I were you I would call Oneway and have them walk you through this. They are super helpful on support for all thier products.

Left hand /right hand nutz

Tony

I have the Oneway balancing system. Nifty gadget. The left hand /right hand thread of the balancers should match the thread pattern of the existing nuts that hold the wheels on your grinder if you mount them with the balancing screws facing out. The idea is to have the rotation of the wheel work in conjunction with the thread pattern to keep the parts rotated together. If you mount them with the balancing screws facing inward you should reverse the left hand / right hand thread.
