Hello everybody,
I started a previous thread on the Oneway versa-mount system. I had some issues with the screws that hold the two parts of the system together. Mainly I was concerned with the difficulty of finding these screws in regular industrial supply stores given the possibility of losing them in the wood sheaving.
Following the advice of some of you I just ordered the easily found 3/4 inch and will grind them to the necessary 5/8. I can also use the regular ex socket screws with a ground Allen wrench.
Now to the system itself that I've used with two blanks 20x10 inch. For these blanks I used the 5 inch ring.
It hold the blank without any hesitation. Solid and true. Mounting and dismounting the heavy blanks was very easy because once the spindle is locked one can use both arms and hand to insert the ring in the holes of the mount, give a small twist clockwise and tight the screws. I used a ratcheting box wrench and it was easy, just a little time involved.
In conclusion i must say that the system works very well also allowing to mount heavy blanks without straggling trying to screw the face plate into the spindle.
Regards
