Greetings fellow turners:
Through a little, or maybe a lot, of operator error I sharpened my Ellworth's on the wrong setting. My attempt at recovery further compounded the mess and now I'm a tad bit gun shy. I can see that I'm grinding lots of steel but not happy with the results.
I'm using the latest version of the Oneway jig with a 2 inch extension beyond the end of the holder; V holder six inches from the wheel. So, what's the setting on the adjustable portion? The bottom is numbered 1 through 7. I'd like to bring them back to a factory grind.
What are your settings?
Thanks,
Tom, in Douglasville, making lots of grinding dust but not many shavings.
