Rob

Tell him "Hi" for me. He just might remeber me from the Rocky Mountian Symposium. He call me a "Straight shooter."

Tell him Jim Keenan says aloha and the same from Kona the dog.

Let him know the fishing here has picked up a little and he had better get his but back here so he doesn't miss it.

Oh, and remind him I'm still waiting for a piece turned from Hawaiian wood.

Allegiant air

Glad you are flying that air line. I flew to Grand Junction, Co Sat the 3rd, and flights are screwed up. Appears Continental and United changed their computer system. Returning the 10th was same issue. 2 hours late on first leg, missed connections, and they told me that they could get me to Lansing 2 days later. But fortunately last leg from Chicago was 3 hours late due to maintenance problems, but they fixed the rear of plane with duct tape, superglue and bungie cords and was able to make the flight.😀 No bag. Baggage guy took 1 hour to trace for 2 of us, muttering about the computer system that no one knew how to use!!!! Gretch

You lucky dog would I ever love to be going with you. I'm sure you will learn lots of stuff. I think he is one of the best turning instructors that I have ever seen on videos, and I have many. There are lots of excellent turners out there but not so good at instructing. Its one thing to excell in turning but
I think Jimmy is gifted in both turning and instructing. Just checked your web site and it certainly is interesting and well laid out. I too am a ham (VE1ANH forty-one years) just like you. I often wonder how many wood turners are involved in amateur radio. Have a great time in Vages and hope you learn lots from Jimmy. Oh, almost forgot GOOD LUCK in the Casinos and hope you are able to pick up some extra cash and not loose it all like I did the last time I was there.

Had a FANTASTIC experience.....

Riding to the airport on the shuttle.....I passed along greetings to Jimmy for you. There were two of us in this Design class; Matt Overton from Bucks Co., Pennsylvania was the other student. We went through the entire design process, including brainstorming, making drawings, exploring alternatives, etc. We each worked independently on the projects of our own design, and received immediate coaching, feedback and critique. Even after turning for over 16 years, it was great to still learn New tool techniques, and try turning tools I only have read about. It was an excellent experience from start to finish (literally!)

I would highly recommend this class!

Cheers!

Rob
