I have a new Nova Precision Midi chuck 😛 in the package there were two Grubscrews and fiber washers and a small standard screw. 😕 The standars screw appears to thread into the chuck body and screw against the scrollring is this used to lock it in place? 🙄

The grubscrews appear to go in the holes for the handel and appear to push aginst the chuck.

There is no explanation for thier use. Do you use these screws to lock the work in the chuck after tightening it?

Thanks myrel

Myrel,

I just got a Supernova2 and it had one grub screw and a fiber washer. I'm not positive on the Midi, but this screw locks the thread adapter in place. I got a cd with my chuck.... I'll check to see if there is an electric manual for you.

Grubscrew

The grubscrews screw through the scrolering and press against the the chuck. When the grou screw is tight you cannot open or close the chuck. Once you tighten the chuck is there anything to keep it form getting lose as you work or is that what the other flat head screw and the grubscrews are for? 😕
