Notice Rocky Mountain Wood turning sympsoium is cancelled

Wow, that's too bad, and at such a late date. The rain has been torrential!

I heard from Elizabeth Amigo that Cindy Drozda/David Nittmann's bridge washed out. They would not have been able to get to the symposium. So far their house and shop are okay.

What a shame! Just can't argue with Mother Nature.

Betty, thanks for letting us know that Cindy and David's house and shop are OK. I hope Trent Bosch is doing OK as well.

Sorry to hear about the cancellation. Glad this did not happen during the symposium.
Any word from Tom Wirsing?
He lives in the Longmont area, it looks sort of grim on the news tonight.

Tom is fine. Last I heard they are without power. Binh and Ashley are staying with Tom and Melinda. Binh and Ashley are trying to put together something at our Woodcraft store tomorrow. I hope they can but the last I heard is more rain tomorrow.

We had to cancel do to the events center has cancelled all events this weekend. In addition so many roads are closed that we could not get equipment to the center even if they were open. It is a mess. We are all very disappointed. We want to especially send our regrets to those who traveled so far to attend, demonstrate and set up vendor booths. This has cost our club a lot in money and time spent and we appreciate everyone's understanding.

Don't argue but also do not mess with mother nature. Building and logging everywhere is messing with her.
