Norfolk pine

A friend of mine claims to have made the first spoked( the knots are extended out of the outside of the bowl to make it look like a ships steering wheel) norfolk pine bowl. I know I have seen this done a long time ago but cannot find a picture of it.. I need help

One member of our club has done this. I don't have any photos but he turns a lot of Norfolk pine and has tried a lot of different orientation and turning techniques.

When did he do it and did he do it because he saw someone elses.
