Norfolk Island pine

You might check with Larry Genender. I seem to recall that he told me once that it was one of his favorite turning woods. Or, you could take a vacation trip to the Pacific northwest with your chain saw.

Pacific Northwest? I'm pretty sure NIP trees can't survive tempuratures lower than 50 degrees.

It is also not a pine.

What Jim said. This far north (North Florida), most folks get it from central or south Florida (Miami-ish).

I live in S. Florida and we get lots of Norfolk Island Pine. What size or sizes are you looking for? Freshly cut or spalted? I have some in my wood pile but they may not be what you're looking for. Oops, I had the wrong part of the Pacific Ocean -- Norfolk Island is between New Zealand and the land of Oz. It is one of the most widely distributed trees in the world thanks mostly to humans.
