Just finish a NFIP HF. It is 7 1/2" tall and 6 1/4" across. The walls are pretty consistant 3/16". Randy's new hunter style cutter sure does make smoothing the inside easy. This is my first one and would like to do some more. It is finished with I think 7 coats of lacquer. Sorry for the pictures as the wife was trying to get me moving to leave town so they were taken quick.

Thanks Ern. This was a fun piece of wood to turn. I will hopefully get to do a few more.

NIP before Spalting

Hello Bernie,

I thought you might like to see what Florida NIP looks like before the spalt.
Here is a piece I turned on the day the tree was cut - no coloring.
This has no finish yet - waiting on some inspiration for embellishments 😕
The top / finial is maple - overall 3d x 8.
