I have been trying to search the threads, but havent turned up the answers so Ill try it this way...I have been looking at the Grizzly G0694 wood lath and am wondering if there has been a review done on it?if so where can I find it? or anyone that have used one and what their thoughts were on the lath....iny info you folks might have....thanks much Jerry

I am sure that it is OK, but for that price, I would be more inclined to go with a a Nova or Vicmarc or other brand that has a better reputation that would be much more likely to hold its value. Grizzly products are not sought after in the used tool market. I also think that the fixed headstock and gap bed make it somewhat of an outdated design. The big clunky cabinet base would also be problematic for getting your feet close to the headstock when doing detail work.

One of the first things you read about Grizzly any more is the great customer service. They are great, but I would just as soon buy a machine that doesn't need customer service. My recent experience with another new machine, is that you will need the customer service guys, a lot. I was slightly beat up on another site since I should have know better for the price I paid. Maybe my fault, so be aware.

Thanks for the replys..I e-mailed grizzly and ask them if they had receved any complaints about the bearings, or drive problems,ect......they said they were not aware of any issues with that product at all........I have a lot of grizz equipment in my little shop and am happy with it allbut for some reasom Im uneasy about the lathe...I have a 9795 lath by grizz and it has done ok....not anything to brag about though....Think maby Ill get a 3520 and paint it green so it will fit in.....😱 one thing I have noticed....have not heard any one braging about owening a 0694 yet......I did ask how many they had sold and was told that info. was not available.....😕 any way thanks to all

I also have lots of Grizzly in the shop, but not a lathe. Until recently they didn't make a good one. I understand the best one they were making has been with-drawn, for a time while they rework it (the electronics is reported to have failed, a lot)
