Good Morning!
I am posting this announcement on the Main Forum that new information about the availability of Chapter Liability Insurance being available for purchase by chapters has been arranged through the AAW.
To read the message that was sent to all AAW Chapter Presidents/contacts, log-in to the Members Area of the AAW Web Site [ http://woodturner.org/member/MemberLogOn.asp ] to learn more about the policy that has been underwritten by The Hartford, and is offered through AMJ Insurance.
Chapters are free to purchase coverage from the Hartford, or seek coverage through another provider of their choosing.
I will also call attention to the ongoing discussion with possible providers to offer a blanket commercial AAW general liability insurance policy for less cost to chapters (but likely with less coverage than the policy through the Hartford) that only covers chapter members who are also members in good standing of the AAW. If there is interest by your chapter in pursuing that lower-cost option, you will need to contact Phil McDonald BY FEBRUARY 8th, 2013 - WHICH IS ONE WEEK FROM TODAY.
I hope this helps keep members informed of the most recent progress in providing AAW members access to liability coverage for their chapters. Further information about the policies can be obtained from the AMJ Agent Mr. George, or from the AAW Headquarters office.
