I just got my journal yesterday. Sealed in plastic cover all nice and neat. Opened up to read it and it had a chemical smell to it that I just had to take it outside to air out. Has anybody else experienced this. Could it be from paper or ink? It'll have to lay out there a couple days before I bring it back in.

Nope, but then I don't snort my journal. :D I try to limit my bad habits to doing an occasional Dublin Dr. Pepper (which is no longer made in Dublin ... drat). :(

Is your mailbox located where it is in the hot July sunlight. Could it have been in that mailbox for a few hours getting nice and toasty -- causing outgassing from the plastic?

received mine last week....no smell....course I had over twenty years in cotton factory....still getting it out of my ears

I didn't have to snort it.:) It just plain slapped me in the face. So I guess the best thing is let it air out until the next issue gets here!

The smell has finally diminished enough I can bring it back in the house. Could have been the heat in mail box, but it was in low 70's that day and only in there 30 minutes or so from when delivered. Humm!
