If you define magic as patience and watching the details, yeah. Start small and easy, every time you do one it gets easier.I’m convinced that segmenting requires magic.

Actually the hardest part was planning the cuts out. Once I got to the point of cutting it was a matter of following the plans cutting and gluing. The turning wasnt to bad either with a bowl gouge that had an irish grind to it. Since the turning was all side grain except the base it cleaned up pretty easy.Absolutely gorgeous. Can't wait until I'm at that level, which is probably many years (and catches!) away.
