Here is a Red Oak burl HF that I just finished. It's some of the nicest burl I've ever turned. Mother nature out did her self on this wood. I just had to show a picture or two of this wonderful wood. The form is 8" dia. by 7" tall. I also have two nested sets from the same wood, one set of 7 with the largest bowl being 17" dia and a smaller set of 4.
Thanks for looking.

Thanks everyone. John, I've used all this burl up, even got three slabs for making game calls when it is dry. I have another one spotted not far from the cabin on the waterfalls that looks to have the eye burl in it like this one. I could see the eyes in the bark of this burl. If it does I will let you know. I really like the arm brace handle and hollowing tools I got off you. My hollow forms are much easier and much improved as a result. Here is a link to a picture of the burl before I started on it. I owe a friend a bowl from it. He just brought it by my shop and gave it to me one day.
Thanks,
Jack

Just kidding (sort of) Jack. Need any more of the cutoffs? We could use a night in the cabin. I need to come over and wear the sides off my motorcycle tires before I put on new ones.

That's a nice piece.😀
