i visited the Morse Museum in Winter Park Fla friday night (free admission friday nights)
they have a wooden bowl displayed, it had some cutout glass in the rim, from 1905 - 15 ____ Marks: J.B. / L.C. Tiffany
museum membership purchase 2002
i was not aware that any Tiffany worked in wood, anyone have any history of a Tiffany woodworker or turner????
i am not sure what type of wood was used but it appeared that it was heartwood face grained orientated with rays, dare i say it was oak?????
if anyone else has seen this bowl what type wood do you think it is?
