What happened to Monster Lathe Tools? Their website has everything except lathe tools on it. Very Strange.

I have their articulated hollowing system and the laser died (again). Last time they charged me about $40 for a new one. Don't want to pay that again, but would like to get in touch with them about it.

Anyone know what I would need from Amazon for a replacement? looks like diodes are about 10 for $6

Thanks in advance.

As far as I know, Monster tools kind of died when Randy passed away. His family tried to run it for a time but could not do it.
I have the Monster system too and have wondered about parts, specifically the carbide insert. I haven't had any problems with the laser, other than it is finicky to set.

Diodes are the way to go for economy and you can adjust the laser.
As to cutters I think they are the square bar carbide and you can find barstock on ebay and cut to length. If it is inserts there are several places AZ Carbide, Carbide Depot and Captn Eddie to name a few.

I was not aware that Randy passed away.

Todd took over the business after Randy passed. Todd did a great job continuing the business but having a family requires more funds than making hollowing systems produces.

I also hve the Monster system. That's too bad about Randy and the company. It would be helpful if you can provide the diode information at Amazon. I've not had to replace the laser but would like to have the information on which diode to order. Thanks.

I got these...the head is a little small, but I wrapped some tape around it and it works nicely.
10 diodes are ~$6
