I am trying to figure out how to use a template to duplicate using this tool
The directions in the manual are not clear to me -
Can anyone explain this to me

Bob,
Have you tried over on the Mini Max forum? MiniMax-USA@yahoogroups.com they are a pretty good bunch of guys and I'm sure someone is using this. The template for this machine is what ever you need duplicated, meaning you need an orignal piece, like a banister piece and this it used as the template to cut the copy. I have the MM16 bandsaw and they are pretty good about customer service if you reach out and gently grab them by the throat. 🙂

Bob, I owned one briefly about five years ago. There are a couple of bolts, one on either end of the copy mechanism where you attach the template. There is a follower that works along with the cutter that follows the pattern. It will take some fussing to get it set up properly, but then it will be good to go. These things are not really designed to make two or three of something. They are designed to make lots and lots, so the set up time is spread out over a whole bunch of pieces.
