Our presidents challenge this month was to make a cake stand. I decided to make a doll house cake stand instead including the cake. Stand is cherry, cake is angel food
I had one heck of a time polishing the inside of the glass. Simply didn't have the tools I needed. Tried various grits of steel wool and it just left scratches that were hard to remove. Used sandpaper pushed in with a stick but it just didn't clean up the underside of the lid well enough. sanded to 1500 grit and then used automotive polishes to really clean it up. Didn't think about abrasives on my Dremel buffing pads. May have to try that later.
