Finally got a good light source for the lathe. A while back I bought a dentist light but didn't know how i could mount it.
The small studio has limited head-room and floor space. Dave Peeples shared photos of how he mounted his light, and my design was inspired from these pictures.
Sort of an experimental design, i wanted an arm that swivels 180 degrees. A friend fabricated and welded the arm to a steel plate that's mounted to the wall studs. The lamp's spigot was then inserted into the arm -- this spigot turns on heavy-duty bearings. Thus the lamp can be fully extended, or folded up back against the room ...
so far, it works great!
