This month's challenge was to turn four identical bowls or plates, an exercise in production and an emphasis on utility. Although we didn't have a large number of participants, we still had several really nice sets. Beyond the aesthetics, I hope the pieces made for this challenge are used for the foreseeable future. Functional art!

Now, the challenge for all forum members (this means you and me) is to choose a winner. Voting begins now and concludes at 11:59p-ish (USA Eastern time [UTC -5]) on Monday, 31 March, 2025.You are allowed one vote; once you have voted, you won't be able to go back and change your votes. After you have voted, you can track the vote totals. The voting is secret (just like an actual election), so nobody else can see who you voted for (not even the moderators/administrators). In case of a tie vote, the forum moderators will gather in a virtual waist-deep shavings-filled shop to determine the winner.

As in all previous challenges, the winner might have to pass a lie detector test before being awarded the Grand Prize (rumored to be a high-carbon dogleg SRG).

The following are this month's entries:

Congratulations to Kelly Shaw for his stellar Pecan bowl set. Hard to beat such beautiful wood in usable forms. Thank you everyone else for participating, and to all forum members that voted for your favorite. Participation was a bit down on all fronts, but the next challenge (coming soon) will only require you to make one object. Stay tuned!
