Spring is just around the corner which means that baseball isn't far behind. So, the challenge this month is to turn a baseball bat, but not an ordinary MLB regulation bat. The challenge is to turn a bat that is "different". Some examples are a bat that will get the fans excited, a bat to get more hits, a bat to get more strikeouts, etc. For inspiration, you can Google "Mark Sfirri rejects from the bat factory". The only two restrictions on size are that it has to be large enough to be seen with the naked eye and small enough that it can be turned inside your workshop. Have fun and make lots of shavings.
And now, the legal stuff:
And now, the legal stuff:
- Only one entry per person and only one photo of the entry. This is a turning contest, not an old photo contest, LOL. So make sure your work is something you turned for the challenge.
- Turnings submitted for the March challenge must be started no earlier than March 2, 2022.
- Entries must be posted in this thread.
- The deadline for posting entries is midnight Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) on March 24, 2022.
- Voting will take place March 25, 2022, through midnight UTC March 31, 2022.
- The winner might have to pass a lie detector test before collecting the prizes. Good luck, have fun, make shavings!!
