Finished in April, 2005. This is a big leaf maple burl platter, about 14" wide. Sanded to 4000 grit, then sprayed with Createx translucent red airbrush color. Liberon gilt varnish hand brushed in the concave depression. Finished with many coats of Fuhr water based pre cat lacquer and rubbed to an extremely high gloss. Hard to get a good pic - my camera does not like red.
