long, long building
Well, if you are at all familiar with Central City Park, there is a round building. Directly behind it is a long building, and adjacent to it is a long building, but not as long. So, rather than call one the long building and the other the short building, people have been calling the longer if the two the "long long building".
More general: Central city park is off of I-16 at the one milemarker(although this is numbered exit two). Yeah, it's Macon, yeah, it is a "government full of politics!" Anyway, get off at this exit. The street is named MLK, Jr. Blvd (formerly here Coliseum Dr.) Cross the Occmulgee River, at the next traffic light, turn left. Go about 2/10th of a mile and turn left into Central City Park on the levy road. The first building you will pass on the right is the "long" building. It actually adjoins the "long long" building, which is the next building you will pass. As soon as you pass the long long building you may have to go straight to park, as the area to the right is for motor home and handicapped parking. You will see that the door to enter is on the opposite end of the end of the building that you passed. We will be half-way down on the right just before the doorway that goes into the long building. . . . Well, I hope you got that. It is not as confusing as it sounds. I was a firefighter in Macon for 30 years. We "helped" (actually did most of the work) get things ready for all events in Central City Park. So I have a lot of experience with these buildings, including erradicating the bats (and their droppings) from the round building! If you need any further assistance, look me up on the AAW website under Middle Georgia Woodturners. I am Terry.
