Yet one more reason to join the AAW!! I got an email from our own Mike Mahoney today. Letting me know I'm the winner of the AAW monthly drawing!! I won a 16 oz bottle of Mahoney oil. Something I can always use... I would like to say thank you to the AAW and all the sponsors that donate montlhy prizes.
I'm going to call Mark Stebbins and see if we can donate a bag of pewa and the corresponding template. I will be on the AAW directory of live remote demos soon, would be a way to help out and a little bit of marketing... Aloha

I never win anything. Well my name was drawn once to be in the Jury pool at our local courthouse but that's all I've ever won. I love the Mahoney's oil. I use it on all of my user bowls.

My former wife won a free meal at McDonalds served by a waiter with the burgers on silver trays and roving violinist. We rode there in a limo. You should have seen the rest of the patrons when we came in and waiters in tuxedeos were taking care of us. I'll bet they still wonder who we were. Closest I'll ever come to famous.

I hope you got some pictures of that!!! LOL

I never win anything ... except one year at SWAT I won two turnings in the 2-for-1 drawing and a Lyle Jamieson hollowing rig.. Coincidentally I bought a Steve Sinner hollowing rig earlier that day so I made a good buddy deal with a fellow club member who wanted the Jamieson rig.

I was wondering what you meant when you said you “briefly” owned a Jamieson rig...
I have not seen anything on the AAW web site yet, do they announce it? I was dusting my suit and tie for the picture when the oil arrives...

Speaking of winning I just bought the winning ticket for the symposium lathe drawing. Sorry, the rest of you had just as well save your money. I will soon be enjoying my brand new 3520C in my new shop.

Keep it down! :-) AAW NEED LOTS OF NON WINNERS TO BUY TICKETS TOO.

To look at tdrike's profile, does he really need a bigger/better lathe? ********************************************************************************************************************************************* Keep buying tickets folks! Every NON WINNER is a Winner!

Folks, just a reminder that we play nice and respect each other and especially don't talk politics or religion. There are plenty of places on the web that cater to arguing those topics, but NOT HERE. Members here have a wide range of persuasions in politics and religion, but one thing that binds us together is turning wood whether it's springpole or CNC.

I guess I missed it when they started playing naughty...
