Our club is having its 2nd annual woodturning contest and we need one more judge. We have two , one is a director of a local museum and the other an artist . Both have no turning experience. We did it this way to get an overall critique of the work. Now we need an expert turner. Someone who will explain to the other judges what is and isn't a good piece. We did that last year and it gave us insite into what constitutes not only a good turning but also an artistic and estetically pleasing turning.
We could tap one of our local members , some of who are very good, but they are all in the contest and would be biased in their decisions.
We are in the Akron/Cleveland area and would be happy to pay for your mileage and a small stipend.. Maybe you can recomend someone also....Thanks

Andi Wolfe is in the Columbus, Ohio area, who likely would be a good judge and could offer constructive critiques both from a woodturning and artistic perspective.

She is very busy - you do not say when this event is being held - I know it would be necessary for most judges to have sufficient advance notice to schedule such an event.

Good luck with your search,

Yes Andi would be the perfect choice. She was my template for what I wanted, I'm sure she is too busy... The time I need her is late June, for one day...

In late June, many of us will be traveling to Albuquerque to attend the AAW Symposium; I am sure Andi will be there since she's a demonstrator this year. - This may complicate things for your event as many turners may be "away" at that time; scheduling counts!
