Anyone here use a logo for their website or business cards?? I am looking to start a web site and would like to have a logo which I can use for business cards, the web site and possibly shirts in the future. I have no design abilitys so am looking for help or suggestions as to where to look.

The thing is I do all kinds of woodworking. I hand turn pens as well as other items on a lathe, I also make lots of styles of clocks, I like to scrollsaw various items. With that in mind the name of my company is J.T.'S Creative Woodworking. I appreciate any input on this at all. Thanks.

Check local graphic artists or printers...I had mine done by a friend and then modified by the print shop. This is the banner that I use at craft shows...my card is a condensed version.

Good luck.

I went to Office Depot and looked through their standard catalog of business card designs. I found a nice design in two colors and had a thousand cards made at a very resonable price. It makes no sense for me to spend money on a custon design because this is an expence that will not increase my sales or the price for my work. The business cards are worthwhile because they contain my name, phone and e-mail and I do have people call who want to buy.

I have a friend that has a printing press and prints brochures as a business. Years ago she made me a business card, and found in her design "books" a dead tree. So that is in the left half of the front and then name, add etc on the front. On the back is 2 paragraphs concerning where the wood was obtained and the care of the product. Gretch

I made this myself, using paint. I have cards made with contact infomation, also found someone that has a lazer cutter that did a metal sign for craft shows.

Look around you should be able to come up with an idea or two and then go to someone for help. I used the wanted poster from my families notorious past and did some changes to make if fit my business (computers & wood). Also put "studio" on the end so you can charge more..😀 www.docwks.com

My card

Here is the card I recently designed for my business. I got the logo from Vistaprint and they printed the cards as well. My wife went to the local UPS Store and they designed and printed her cards. Both of ours were less than $50.00 Hope this helps. Rick

We decided on "A. B. Hats" as the name of our company using my wife's initials, and I came up with a clip art bee with a top hat initially. When my wife made her first sinemay hat, I found a graphics artist that turned a photo of it into cartoon art and replaced the top hat as in the first logo attached. Since no one could figure out the connection to my wood turnings, I had the same artist come up with the second one - I use it on my cards along with our company name, on price tags, etc.

So far someone over at the IAP pen turning site was kind enough to get this one done and I am leaning to accept it. Have to look at a couple more. But then I have to decide if I want to color it. Decisions decisions.

Hey John, if you have a digital camera, you can take the picture to a photo shop and they should be able to print any logo you come up with. I did so with my Burlwood business. It is really nice, because you can put writing or logos anywhere on the card, where some places only offer you a template. This way you can make it as uniques as you want it. Good Luck.

I don't have a business logo as such but use Woodplank font for my business name on my cards. I'm cheap- I get the Avery cardstock at Wally World and print my own cards.
