The bottom and fin are walnut and the lid is curly maple. It was supposed to be square but I could not see the tip while it was turning. I kept taking just a little and stopping to check. I went too far so cut the corners off to try and save it.

I have one sitting next to my recliner that looks similar with the rounded off corners. I like the look better. Seeing yours, a better overall form than mine, I might go back and turn a lid for it. Nice look.
