Laguna remote control question

I recently purchased the Laguna REVO 2436 which comes with a remote control unit. Laguna supplies two mounting plates and there are two suggested locations to attach those plates. The control box attaches to the plates with small bolts which must be unbolted and bolted every time you want to change the location.

Has anyone had any experience with this. I was wondering about attaching some magnets to the bottom of the control box so I could just snap it on or off as necessary. However I'm not sure if there's anything in the control box that would be damaged by the addition of some magnets? I'll check with Laguna, but I'd appreciate anyone else's input on the subject.

Thanks
