Is anyone familiar with the Laguna 18/47 lathe? Feature-wise, it appears to be similar to the 3520B, other than 2" less in swing. But the price difference is astounding...! $1,850 compared to to over $3,000 for the Powermatic.

Thanks for your input...

I have never seen this lathe and know nothing about it but I do have a friend that bought one thinking exactly as you are. He had nothing but problems with the lathe and nothing but problems with the company. He finally got them to take it back at his shipping expense. He now has a PM3520B.

Use this forum's search feature, searching for "laguna". You'll find that the group had a lengthy discussion about the lathe in question sometime last year. As I recall, there were a lot of comments about problems with the lathe and the company.

Thanks..., I want a 3520B, but can't justify spending over $3,000 for something I want, not need. The reality is I don't need anything, I just want, want, want more toys!!
