Hello, I live in So. Cal. and I'm not new to turning as I've been turning pens for the last year or so. I only just started with larger items such as the small cups and jars and vessels. I'm really enjoying the move to vessels.
Welcome Ken,
There is lots of sound ideas here. Looking forward to hearing yours.
Do check out the local AAW chapters in your area if you have not already done so.
They local chapters are the arm of AAW designed to provide the face to face and hands on guidance.
Welcome Ken to the AAW forum........ Like you, I was in pen production for 5 years and just got burnt out on making pens so last year I switched to turning bowls, platters and larger vessels and never looked back! You won't regret it Ken and you can get all the help you need from the experienced turners here at the forum. Again, welcome and happy turning.
